Wait. I think that Blackstar concieded a point about destroying Stargazer. Am I right?

Don't get to excited, we'll be repeating this fiasco in the next thread he gets into.

Fine consider conceded
Thank you. Concession accepted.
you big baby.
Yeah, because how dare I have the nerve to actualy ask you to adress my points.

I also find it hilarious that if I don't respond to minor bits of your posts that have nothing to do with the debate, you jump on me for it, yet you have no problem with ignoring major points of mine. Does the word "hypocrite" mean anything to you?

So you call contradicting yourself when you can't back yourself up "going with the flow?"

Nothing to do with this discussion

Doesn't matter if it was a garbage scow. The captain's duty is to not let his ship fall into hostile hands.
Blackstar the Chakat wrote:3)The 'gazer was still combat capable so why did they abandon it?
Obviously it wasn't, or soon wouldn't be, because it was abandoned.
Blackstar the Chakat wrote:4)The Ferengi are in a D'Kora class ship that as you guys have pointed out is a match for a Galaxy, so why didn't they just blow the E-D away?
Completely tangential, but to humor you - a slow revenge was THE POINT OF THE WHOLE FRIGGIN' EP!
Blackstar the Chakat wrote:5)Bok made Picard use the Picard manuvour which shouldn't have been a big deal since they knew it was coming
Also irrelevant to this discussion, but Bok was making Picard recreate an event which included the Picard Maneuver. And they defeated it because they knew it was coming.

Why? And again - irrelevant to this discussion.
Blackstar the Chakat wrote:7)Since when do Ferengi put revenge above profit? Quark's cousin tried to kill him and he let it go to make a profit.
They don't - Bok was arrested for doing so. Watch the ep you're discussing.
Blackstar the Chakat wrote:The 'gazer was abandoned because it was on fire? Evacutate that section and vent it into space, problem solved.
Yes, somebody already mentioned that here. Good idea of whomever originally had it. But this is a discussion of why Picard was wrong to leave the Stargazer intact after abandoning it - what does his or Starfleet's poor firefighting abilities have to do with that?

In other words you pull random crap out of your arse whenever you're proved wrong. We'd figured that out already, but thanks for confirming it.
1)Picard was the captain of a ship with a hull number in the 2xxx range indicating it's from kirk's era
So? The Excelsiors and Mirandas are still in service.
3)The 'gazer was still combat capable so why did they abandon it?
Picard's an idiot.
4)The Ferengi are in a D'Kora class ship that as you guys have pointed out is a match for a Galaxy, so why didn't they just blow the E-D away?
Bok wanted revenge on Picard personnally - just blowing him up wouldn't have cut it.
5)Bok made Picard use the Picard manuvour which shouldn't have been a big deal since they knew it was coming
Already dealt with - do try and keep up.
6)The E-D should know which Stargazer to shoot
Evidently that pre-knowledge wasn't enough - the sensors probably had to track the ship to maintain the lock, as Arsenal of Freedom establishes that it takes at least a full second to establish a new lock.
7)Since when do Ferengi put revenge above profit? Quark's cousin tried to kill him and he let it go to make a profit.
Since Bok. And Gaila, since you're kind enough to mention the incident.
8)The 'gazer was abandoned because it was on fire? Evacutate that section and vent it into space, problem solved.
Again, Picard's evidently an idiot. Or there were extensive fires in key areas that prevented them taking control from elsewhere - we know how overcentralised Fed ships are.

Do you have anything of substance to add to this forum or shall I just consider you a troll.

I was just bringing up the points that made this episode suck.

It's idiotic stuff like I've listed, that makes me not want to watch TNG

Ok, moving along here. What's the maximum amount of people you'd care to guess could be crammed into Stargazer's shuttles? In TOS, the shuttles had seating for seven I believe, and in TNG I don't think it was ever established how many passangers one could carry. I was just wondering how many survivors that there COULD have been, limping away in the shuttles. Any idea? Also, if the shuttles we all over loaded, how did they manage to last in space for weeks without overloading the enviornmental systems and draining all of the ships consumables?

It's possible the shuttles had their own warp drives, which would allieviate some of those problems.
