Perhaps like RL porn, it's just not the same.

Barclay's experiences made it clear that there's no official rule against recreating your fellow crewmen, so a sex-toy Seven of Nine was undoubtedly a feature of Voyager, for instance.
As for why want the real thing... why do people travel to see the Mona Lisa when there are countless millions of copies of one sort or another around the world? Why do people pay to go to the Superbowl when you can watch it on TV? People have always been willing to go out of their way for "the real thing".

Meh. I don't pay to watch strippers, so I may not be the best source.

Me neither. But hey, there's plenty of naked women on the net but guys still go to watch the real thing.

PAY THEM!!!????? I thought they were a fringe benifit of becoming an Admiral around here!?? That was the whole reason I maintain such a high daily posting average!!
But remember, since there is no money in the 24th century, the strippers would work for free as well.

I know a few girls that strip for free for me, but I'm special.
I suppose some might do it for the thrill, unless we assume that fetishes are gone in the 24th century.

Like I said, I'm special.
Three girls in my top four friends on MySpace do that on a regular basis.

Just keep your eyes open if you enter a relationship. As I had to counsel a friend while he was going through an angry divorce - "If you marry a stripper, you're going to end up married to a stripper."

True. When I was in the Army, I had a friend who started fooling around with a stipper. Then started to get jealous when she would take her clothes off at work. Started a damn bar fight when she was giving an over the top lap dance. Dummy ended up with a field grade article 15.

I have no idea what a "field grade article 15" is, but, yeah - everyone thinks that he's the guy who can make her want to give it up.

Sorry. Military non judicial punishment issued by a Lt. Col or above. He 30 days x-tra duty/30 restriction to barracks, lost 2/3 of a months pay, and got reduced in rank from E-5 to E-4.

So, bar fights are frowned on, I guess?
