Merry christmas all.
Yet again, sunburn on christmas.

What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
I'm wearing sweat pants under my jeans, double socks and a light shirt between my usual undershirt and top. Having said that, I'm glad a wind chill in the (positive) single digits is as bad as it is down here.
Hi again, btw. I've continued lurking while I haven't logged into post lately. This is posted from a new wireless keyboard (same model as the old one) since it's predecessor had some keys stop working. It doesn't help it's case either that as a diabetic I have to drink a lot at times to stay hydrated and have a cat which likes to jump on my desk to get my attention.
On a slight tangent I'd love to know why I have days when I pee like crazy even though my sugar readings are perfectly fine (excessive urination is a symptom of high sugar) but leaving that aside I'm doing alright. I could ask my endocrinologist about that when I see him in early Feb.
On the extra time off these two Mondays as well as my usual off time I've been able to keep the Mythbusters mega marathon running: all 200+ eps over 11 days.

Happy New Year, everybody. I've not been on much lately due to work (there now, but we're slow as fark right now, so I'm on here). Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoys the new year!
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?
Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Happy New Year to you and yours as well, sir.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
I'm having a warmer new year so far (at least indoors, at home) since the plumber came this morning to restore heat and hot water (it's a combined system and the zone valve was replaced). After a few days with heat but no hot water (until both were gone this morning) it was nice to have a hot shower.
Happy new year.
Happy new year.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
When nature gives you a snow day via a huge blizzard blanketing the entire Eastern US down as low as Florida, the prudent thing to do is stay indoors. Alas, I get sufficiently stir crazy that even today I went out to get my daily cup of coffee around the corner. Though a short trip, trudging through inches of snow, not yet fully shoveled or plowed, is a workout on its own and extends the time taken to over double what it would ordinarily take. At least by the time I went out the snow had stopped falling, though it was still windy with gusts that blew snow around.
On the other hand, I spent a bit of time I'd ordinarily be at work taking a nap.
So, the coffee meter is back to 100%
