I his suit wouldnt kill him out right. It would take several minutes for it to kill him.
In those several minutes Blackstar will be ground into a fine paste.

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

A victory by beating your opponent into pulp is a better win than because you popped their envirosuit. If the fight gets held in a Tholian Enviroment other would have the same disadvantage.

Assuming shi stands still. An average chakat could easily lift a sofa no problem. An in-shape Chakat could lift three sofas with no problem. Well, maybe not no problem, there is the ballencing issue, but you get the point.Teaos wrote:I his suit wouldnt kill him out right. It would take several minutes for it to kill him.

Remember, their built based off the genes of wild cats, and I'm sure you've seen what those natural cats can do. I once saw a video of a, I think it was a bobcat or something similar, chasing off a grizzly bear easily two or three times its size(to be clear there was about a five minute fight between the two). Now scale that up, add intelligence and huminoid upper torso with the same degree of strength and speed and I'm sure a Chakat would be a match for a Tholian wearing an enviromental suit.

It's not the atmosphere that kills Tholians, it's the temperature. The envirosuit is probably just a self-contained heating system. As long as the heater keeps working, it could still keep him hot enough to survive, even if his suit is torn to shreds. After that, it's just a matter of kicking the crap out of his oponent. Those claw-things he has on the end of his arms look pretty sharp, I'd hate to think what they'd do to a throat.
After we'd finished that we'd be hurried off onto something else to do that actualy has some importance. Why would Starfleet waste time and ships in a race?Well I figured that would be after we finished up with that.
What's the point? Why would any race participate in such an event? You don't see the US Navy racing Russian carriers across the Bering straights.Besides if the race was a political stunt of some sort where several powers send a representitive. Some smaller powers who don't have much in terms of a fleet, may even hire ships to represent them.

Hmm, submarine race. That'd be pretty cool, and there'd be plenty of chances for some not so legal tactics with no one watching.

I loved taking my gf to the submarine racesReliant121 wrote:Anyway...i think a Submarine race would be cooler...
They may not have as small a turning radius but the carriers are deceptivly fast. The Nimitz-class can pull 30+ knots, and the Enterprise is rumered to be even faster(the US Navy has yet to publish the official top speed).and a carrier is one heavy mofo...be better to use a destroyer or frigate
If they were trying to show their good will to a potential new allies or maybe even future members they'd want to send one of their best ships. Besides, it would be good R&R for the crew not involved with the race, letting crew go planetside during off-duty hours and such. After we'd finished that we'd be hurried off onto something else to do that actualy has some importance.
