In other news... my unholy Baphomet, so much softball! My daughter's been playing 4-5 games every weekend with her travel team and 2 games a week with her school team... scholastic season just ended in time for NCAA super-regionals and WCWs, so about 2-4 games on ESPN channels a night. Plus, Kelly Barnhill threw 12 K's in a 7-inning CG to get the Gators in over the Tide. :happydevil:

Broke up with last girlfriend last month. She became Facebook official with the new one ten days after me. Insert any opinion on thay matter.

I am on my third date with a new one. She is a girlie girl. Not interested in the shows I am unlike the last one. But she is easy to talk to and friendly. Also I have to fight her to pay the check. Also she asked me out on the first two dates.

Last one ended because I got worn down and tired from dating an alcoholic. She kept me up till 2am and I had to get up at 6am.

IDK if you're yet at the right mindset to hear this, and I prob don't know you well enough to tell you anyway, but you posted it so here it is: you're better off without that shit around and you deserve better.

In other news, my L5 disc has decided to go bat-shit again. I'll probably be out of work a day or two, and will need assistance removing my socks later.

Ouch, Mikey! Sorry to hear. I'd help with your socks but, you know, distance.

Man, it's been a long week at work. I'm glad tomorrow is my Friday.

I feel that - tonight is my Friday. This is our peak season now in frozen grocery, so I'm counting down days until the 4th of July!

I didn't even think of that... by the last week of June, it must be like storm preppers every week!

In other news, I'm going back to work today - standing up or sitting down is still painful, but manageable.

Painful, but done. Fortunately I have the availability of getting up from my desk and moving a bit once in a while.

I had a dream last night, that I was in the Monkee's TV show. It was a good dream. :D

Well, lately we have been getting some new (to us, second hand) garden furniture.

So on Friday 16th dad and I drove 140 miles each way to pick up four garden chairs. We took the seats out of the back of the car to give us a bit more space, and lucky that we did since we only just got them in. On the way down we hit a sizeable traffic jam due to a crash on one of the junctions - not the motorway itself, just off it but it created tailbacks onto the motorway. So we crawled through that for about 40 mins. Total journey time, about 5 hours.

Then on the 18th we went to get a table... driving down the exact same route, only going another 40 miles or so further on. The M40 was nice and clear this time, but then we got to the M25 and hit this.

Totally stationary traffic, for more than an hour. In 32 C (90 F) temperatures. We even had the engine off, so no air conditioning (I confess, I gave up after about 45 minutes and turned the engine back on just to run the AC.)

And yes, we did see the crowds of people giving up and walking to Heathrow airport. We counted three cop cars, three ambulances, two fire engines, two traffic control cars, and a fire brigade helicopter attending the scene - they had to clear cars off the hard shoulder to give them a path through, which was fun since it meant four lanes of traffic had to find ways to crowd into three.

By the time we included that, total journey time was about 7.5 hours.

But the furniture is quite nice!

Oh what fun the M25 can be. Until the added the variable speed limit stuff it was effectively the worlds only circular car park. Doesn't overly help if it closes mind.
