heres a thought. One of two things would happen if M'Real interrigates the prisoner, from what Rochey would know at that point. Either 1) She gets the information needed thanks to Rochey's plan(or at least he'll get the credit) or 2)It give Rochey something else to mock M'Real about.

Either way Rochey wins.

We still haven't heard if you want the captain to be M'Real's relative? If not we can make it another Caitain onboard. I don't want to assume something about your character's past but I think it'd be a cool storyline.

Well, as it stands it doesn't look like Munro needs much help after all. It appears that his Abu Ghraib routine worked just fine.

I'm really confused. :? Is Monroe trying to get kicked out? Now, maybe the shooting his man could possibly be justified somehow, but there's no way Starfleet or the Federation would justify outright brutal torture. And I honestly don't think there's any way the captain will buy his story, unless he was the most gullible Captain in Starfleet.

Well, he might be. The problem with pinning anything on him is that, for better or for worse, the issue comes out to the word of a Starfleet officer (even one of the Breen variety) to the word of a known felon. Was what he did criminal? Sure. Can it be easily prosecuted? Not at all.

the word of a tholian exchange officer who has a violent history against 98% of the crew and a guy who shoot his own man and is the one getting accused of cruel and unusual torture against medical evidence? If that guy he tortured gets even a half-decent lawyer...

You'd be surprised how bad lawyers can get :P

We'll have to see Rochey's psot before we can assume anything though.

As much as i disagree with Munroe's methods, heavy handed and cruel, having Rochey on his side, and with his Starfleet position, does give him a decided advantage over the Caitan Captain.
Doesnt make it right though.

Hey, at least it got results.

As for prosecuting Munro, you have several problems.
The most obvious one is proving he actualy did anything other than question an already injured prisoner. As the prisoner was never checked for injuries before hand, no one would be able to tell whether he got those injuries during the battle or not.
The second is the fact that it comes down to his word against a Starfleet officer's.
Thirdly is that fact that the Commander can tie this up in so much red tape that nothing ever gets done.
Then there's the fact that Rochey would likely claim the caitan was already injured when he was dragged in for interrogation, but they didn't realise how severely. It was just an unfortunate oversight that Munro was not trained in medical practices, and as such was unable to realise the extent of the injuries.
Then there's the fact that Rochey has access to all logs and recordings of the interrogation. All he needs to do is click 'delete' and all the information pertaining to the interrogation disapears.
Lastly, there's M'Real herself. She'll put herself in a very iffy position if she decides to bring charges against Munro. It's probably well known all over the ship that M'Real has no liking for Munro or Rochey. They can easily claim that she's just persecuting them again for her own racist reasons, or just trying to get back at Rochey by trying to take down his right hand man. Also, any credibility for this case goes out the window if the caitan Captain is indeed a relative of M'Real.

So, who's posting next?

An idea for the revolt, maybe some of the prisoners talked a crew member into being sympathetic towards their cause. Like a Bajorian or something.
