Seruatka didn't move any further into the room, content to hover around the door. He lowered his gun so that it wasn't pointing at her, but kept it in his hands.

"Hello?" He said again, louder this time. "Are you alright?"

With a wet plop, the marine fell forward, his corpse landing on the still rotating blades of his sword, sending another shower of gore flying as the weapon dug its way through bone and flesh.

" By the throne..." Solaria muttered, looking down at the longlas in her hands and then over at Mir's shotgun. " I don't suppose you'd consider a trade?"

The trip was quick and uneventful. The silos stood from floor to cieling, encased into a dull green metal. The four containers each had a pair of heavy doors, one at ground level and one accessable from the catwalk. The upper doors were sealed with a rather small pad-lock.

The woman's head came up, and Seruatka saw the blood running down her face from the empty sockets of her eyes.
" Go away," she wailed.

"And the grox you rode in on!" Mir yelled. He stepped away from the marine as the chainsword coughed out blood. He was breathing heavy and his entire body was starting to tremble from the adrenaline. When Solaria asked him about a trade he just grinned and patted the side of his shotgun. "No, I think I like her just fine."

After taking a few moments to catch his breath he gingerly stepped around the corpse and drew his sword. He quickly hacked his way through the dead marine's neck and threw what was left of his head towards the corner of the room. "I want that chainsword," Mir said as he knelt down and started to try and move the corpse off the marine's weapon.

As Mir managed to roll the marine over what was left of the hash Mir's shotgun had reduced his guts to came pouring out. The wet red mass of shreded meat splurched lewdly as it emptied out of the marines belly. Mir doubled over at the sight and sound before snapping to one side and puking his lunch out. He wiped his mouth off with the back of his hand and reached into the glistening remains of what he could only assume have been the thing's lungs and heart to thumb off the chain sword and pull it out. As he did a long section of intestines came with the sword and Mir dry heaved into the remains before quickly snatching off the offending organ and tossing the chainsword off to one side.

Seruatka felt a chill run up his spine at the sight of the woman's face. He quickly assessed the situation. The woman wasn't likely to be of much help, even if he could shake some sense into her. Bringing her along would just make her a liability. He didn't much like the idea of leaving her there, but knew that it was necessary for his own survival.

"Alright." Seruatka said, backing slowly out the door. "I'll go." Reaching the stairs once again, he closed the door behind him and continued down.

Solaria looked faintly green herself, and edged away from the carnage. " You sure you want it that badly?" she asked, eying the gore coated weapon.

The sound of the woman's renewed sobs followed Seruatka down to the next floor. The door on this level had been entirely ripped from its hinges, and sat in a tangled heap on the stairs continuing on down the final three flights, presenting itself as a hazard on the steps with it's bulk and sharp edges. The open doorway lead into a lightless hallway.

"This won't take long", Gaius mutters as he levels his Slayer at the lock and fires a single round. He curses loud and long as he misses and debris punches into his chest. Roaring in fury he lets the shotgun dangle by it's sling and grasps the lock with both hands. He gives it a wrench and the lock comes off in his hand.

"Thats more like it!" He snarls as he rips open the door and strides into the silo.

The inside of the silo was cramped, with only a square meter platform given over for standing room. Clear cylinders rose all around the sides of the container, cramed full of various types of fruits and vegetibles, which were in various stages of ripeness, with the freshest at the very top, some three meters above, and the stuff from the middle on down turning black and rotten. There was no obvious way to get into the cylinders from the platform.

Ignoring the woman's sobbing, Seruatka paused briefly to inspect the wrecked door and peer into the dark coridor. Quickly deciding that venturing down the hallway would just be a quick way to get killed, he turned to the door and began trying to shove it out of his way. After a minute or so he gave up. The damnable thing was too heavy to shift. With a resigned sigh, Seruatka clambered up onto the door, making sure to avoid the jagged edges, and managed to traverse the debris with little difficulty.

With a sigh of relief, he placed his foot back onto the staircase and continued down, pleased to notice that he was almost out of the building and clear of the danger it posed.

Gaius 0132:

Gaius backs up as far as he can on the platform and levels his shotgun at the containers, turning his head before squeezing the trigger.

As the fruit tumbles onto the platform, Gaius plops down and removes his pack. Tossing the zombie parts he had been carrying around, he replaces them with two ripe orange fruit and then reloads his shotgun.

Taking his bayonet from his belt he smashes open a large melon and starts shovelling the innards into his mouth, the juices running down his chin.

The door to the 3rd floor was likewise torn free, though it had been bashed into the hall beyond it, driven halfway into the wall by some monsterous force. The hall lights flickered, revealing a line of doors down the right hand side.

As he indulges in the fresh produce, Gaius becomes aware of an odd sound. A regular, metallic thumping, to fast to be footfalls, that seems to be drawing nearer.

Gaius secures his pack and shrugs it on as he hears the thumping and slips his bayonet back into his belt. Looking around for cover, his eyes fall on the fruit he scattered on the platform, gathering as much as he can he scatters it on the floor in front of the doors and retreats to the far side of the area.

Readying his weapon he places his hand on the exterminator cartridge and aims the whole thing at the door, gritting his teeth.

A servitor rolls into view, its lower half comprised of treaded tracks that switch from the steady metallic sounding to a series of squishy squelches as it rolls right over the fruit. It pauses in the doorway, electronic eyes twisting, extending, and retracting like camera lens trying to focus as it observes Gaius. It rolls back a step, and motions for Gaius to come out.

Gaius rises to his feet, looking the servitor over and only spotting a welding torch. Keeping his shotgun levelled at the machine, he follows it out.
