In all honesty (and after looking around as many sites as I could before my brain hurt) I'm no wiser as to whether it's a reboot or re-imagining or what.

That's it now. I'm waiting until May next year. I'm always going to see it because someone put a Star Trek sticker on it so I'll wait until next year and make up my own mind after seeing it.
