Sorry, my mother's van isn't exactly being friendly to my back. I think I pinched a nerve and I ended up sitting on an icepack most of the night. Didn't you notice I wasn't on at all last night? Well, anyway, I'll hopefully be better tonight and hopefully find something to support my argument.Rochey wrote:Well, you've had all night, Blackstar. Still waiting.

Very well, I'll ask again tonight.
I'm ~6 hours ahead of you, so I'm asleep during your night.Didn't you notice I wasn't on at all last night?

Any chance of you getting that proof today?

You've had days already. Either provide proof or concede the point.Blackstar the Chakat wrote:I still have 7 hours, so leave me alone.

Haven't I read this thread before? In like a dozen different threads?

Probably.
Anyway, fine. You can have your few more hours. I'm off to bed now. When I wake up tomorrow and check this thread, I expect to see either proof or a concession. Failure to provide proof will be taken as a concession.

Well, the planet had specific 'sectors' in which the Grissom detected very different enviroment. "All the varietys of land and weather known to us withen a few hours walk." I'm not expert but I don't think that can occur naturally. If it was designed to do that on the other hand, it would be far more belivableCaptain Seafort wrote:You've had days already. Re: The Genesis Device
But they sounded surprised, remember? If that is what SHOULD have happened, it wouldn't have gotten the same kind of reaction. Likely would have said something like "Variable climates are well within the expected zones" or something. They wouldn't have been surprised, know what I mean?

I thought he sounded enthusiastic about it, like it was meeting his expectations.Mark wrote:But they sounded surprised, remember? I got the impression from Saaviks expression that she knew it shouldn't be happening. David was letting his enthusiasm blind him, he was either that excited that he didn't realise something was wrong, or he didn't care. Saavik was more concerned with the implications of the planet not being as expected.

Re: The Genesis Device
It still doesn't mean that Genesis had the ability to be programmed for a particular type of terrain.

Well, you can't create that kind of weather pattern with naturally formed terrain...can you?Mikey wrote:It still doesn't mean that Genesis had the ability to be programmed for a particular type of terrain.

Sure. Get mountains, you get rain or snow. Get prairies, you get wind and twisters. Get islands, you get windward rain and leeward calm. etc., etc.
