Is there any way to monitor the contestants WHILE they are playing? To see how they are cheating? They almost HAVE to be.

Mwahahahaha you simple minded fools still havent worked out how to properly cheat at it yet.

I'm assuming the guys with 100+ right answers must be using the same method I do. I don't think anyone can be that good.

Would it be possible that these people memorized DITL for a large part? though I have done something similar, they would have outdone me in that case on the planets and species part.

Having a photographic memory would help. Or doing the quiz so much you memorise the questions and answers.

It's a friggin' game. I couldn't even rouse myself to want to work that hard to cheat at it.

Me too. The only reason I would "cheat" would be to inform the Kennedy bros of such methods.
Of course, I am one of the most honest guys around when it comes to that sort of thing.
Still, I can't imagine why anyone would cheat at the SD.

Just to say you figured out HOW!!! Plus, it's nice to see your name in writing and get some recognition, and knowing that everyone who logs in the site will see your name right there at the top, and go, "Wow". But I personally have no hope of zapping out a score of 400 plus

So far, the only ways I have found that work are really tedious. Such as downloading the entire site onto your home computer so that you could cross check everything, or using two computers with two different IP addresses.

Downloading the whole site is not allowed. It saps our bandwidth, I take a very dim view of that, and I seek out and block such people. You will find a lot of downloader software will not work with our site (because I've set it up that way). Plus downloading the site would stop the search from working and all sorts of other things.

Using two machines with different IP addresses does work, but, only if those addresses are publicly visible, ie being behind your average ADSL modem will not help as you typically only have one real IP and a lot of NAT addresses.
