Because I am dumb.
It actually seems to work pretty well. I need to beta test it on everyones stuff that comes in this turn and see what it looks like. Its fairly easy to manage and really the only restriction we will worry about are supplies coming out of and where they are stockpiled. If you blockade a planet its contirbution goes away for that turn. If you bombard it you can blow up the stockpiles (or steal them).
Anyway, I think I got it to where you only have to mess with 6 inputs for the whole system...still needs testing though.

Should we start planet plotting or do you have another plan in mind?

No, but I may slightly re-work the colonial claims stuff since those planets will have varying levels of importance going forward. The ones already landed on would be standard stuff. The rest I need to work with. Probably next week. We will see how fast I can work.

So, are the Ferengi trying to absorb the Pakleds... or going around them. I'm not sure what the proposed colonization map means down there.

Just taking a few worlds around them. If someone wanted to...santize the problem I would let them keep the funds they pillaged in the process.

Might be in order, depending on who takes over as Praetor.
Also, sheet is in, early so you have time to work that bit out.

I would like to see more action by the neutrel powers. All they seem to do is "sit there" on the map.
BTW, Big.......if you wanted to annex the Pakleds, I'd be happy to rent you out some ships

I like the resource idea. It gives greater strategic value to certain planets, I assume?

For the record, I will be out of touch most of this week (yay Band Camp! {insert your own joke here}) and will not be able to participate in any In-character dialogue.
BIG: I will email you a spreadsheet as soon as I can (either tonight or tomorrow morning) and if anyone still wants an investigation into the Sheliak the Gorn are willing -- as long as our allies don't mind.
And since the moment has passed in the IC thread, I'll respond to the Breen here (perhaps someone can kick it over there if it's that important?) IC: "We understand the position of the Breen and will not begrudge them their decision in cutting trade. Indeed, it makes little sense for nations in two separate alliances to support each other economically. We hold no ill-will toward the Breen in response to this action, and provided the head of the ABTF* fleet has no objections, will allow the Breen contingent to remain at the wormhole. Just because two nations do not find themselves allied does not mean they cannot work together in other ways."
*OC: Are the Breen with the ABTF or are they a separate force? I can't remember

We are with the ABTF, IIRC.
And, hey, thanks man.

An update on the resources thing. I had said they would not cost you...that won't be wholly true.
Mining will have a cost, but it is very low relative to anti-matter production. The reasoning is that if you find the material you don't have to use energy to replicate what you need, so its more efficient. Pretty much everyone knows all the same mining tricks, so no one power is more efficient than the next.
Anti-Matter is another issue all together. The cost to produce it can vary WIDELY between the various powers. Some are very efficient producers of it and can make a lot fairly cheaply. Others pay a premium to produce it because their economy is not as efficient. In general your big powers (UFP, KE, RSE ect) with the largest number of people and most territory are the biggest producers. If you find it cost prohibitive to produce your fuel you can likely try to buy it from one of them for less than you could produce it for.

Will we have cost factors available so that we can base our price ranges on sales and trade or resources?
