Hey, nice. Thanks, brother.

No biggie (:
I am STILL searching for more fan created stuff for the covenant.
In the end, I'm thinking that my ships are all designed by corporations and might have different external looks.

A GM note.
Sonic is out of communication and has been for a couple of days. That being the case I will note the following. He was absoltuely not informed of the presence of such weapons.
Additionally ships only go around if explictly ordered to do so. Otherwise they move along the most direct route. So you can't go back and say I had it go around when you did not.

Well, the Romulans wouldn't know that.
Too bad in game we still don't know that...
But anyway, this should be winding down soon. At this point, I think the powers are all arguing things that don't actually relate to the issue...

No, but I fully expect that numerous powers would. Including powers that have huge trade lines through which the Shelliak ships would have had to pass. Not to mention the UFP and Gorn.

Well, I wouldn't know...

Things like this are always a mess. For many years most of the time. To elaborate...generally you will have an eaiser time moving towards more representative government, though it will have its bumps, than you will moving back.Reliant121 wrote:How did I know that was going to happen
Moving from a very free society of mostly merchants and capitalist to an imperial society is a huge change. Lots and lots of people will be upset because they will lose power and money in the process. You can mimimize the impact by switching over slowly over a course of years. But if you rip the proverbial band-aid off all at once its going to hurt like a bitch.

One other note...a lot of people are attempting to be enlightened dictators of a sort. This is very hard to pull off and is not something often seen. There is a reason through history that most of these people are ruthless to a very great degree. It is really the only way to maintain power. Sometimes you just need to embrace being the bad guy.

You know as well as I do that the price of allowing the representative government to return is too high, not for my people but for a number of others.

I fully realize. But that does not mean it is not an issue for your people who are upset.Reliant121 wrote:You know as well as I do that the price of allowing the representative government to return is too high, not for my people but for a number of others.
And again there is no problem being an absolute ass of a dictator. People should actually embrace that role. Slaughter the dissenters. Kill their children and relatives. Make people be a party memeber if they wish to have a job. Turn the secret police loose on your populace ect.
There is more than enough room in the game for players to be outright evil. I know everyone wants to avoid it but there are tons of nations that are assholes and are proud of it.

That requires somewhat of a choice for the person playing them.
Maybe it is a flaw of my lack of age, but I cannot simply ignore my own moral compass (I'm about as kind natured as Jesus) no matter whether this is a game or something else.
