That was also hilarious.
There is only one way of avoiding the war – that is the overthrow of this society. However, as we are too weak for this task, the war is inevitable. -L. Trotsky, 1939

I feel like shit, I'm in a bad mood, and I'm at work. Yay.

Good luck with that, Jim. I have work tonight, and a storm coming in. Oh, joy.

If I had them around I wouldn't be half as pissy as I am right now. It's hard to stay in a bad mood around them.Mikey wrote:Better than being in a bad mood around your kids.
That or I'd just go lay down and sleep this off. Either way.

I now own an action figure of Brigadier Stewart from the Three Doctors, complete with pistol. He is almost insanely well-done and just looks awesome.

Given that my sugar levels are kept under pretty good control I should be quite thankful for the technology of the insulin pump. However, the downside is that it requires the perpetual presence of a fairly large (1.5" diameter) bandage in a part of a man's body that can be prone to body hair. While I'm not exceptionally hairy by any means, it does pull from time to time, particularly after a re-setting when a new bandage is freshly applied.
It's not nearly as bad as the consequences of uncontrolled sugar would be, of course...

I feel your pain, brother. I've got the cannula on one side with its adhesive pad, plus the CGM sensor and transmitter on the other; the sensor isn't so bad (if you don't consider being anchored into your gut with a needle bad) but the transmitter doesn't attach to the body at all - it just plugs into the sensor - so it needs to be supported by a surgical dressing. And I do have a hairy gut.

I've got the weekend off. It's... odd. Haven't had a weekend off barring vacation since about 2006-2007 or so.

Since my mom's of Irish ancestry she's already getting into spirit a few weeks ahead of St Patrick's day. Last night she baked a soda bread, and she'll usually start playing some Irish folk music around this time of year.

Also, they played the TNG theme music when Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana were introduced. Interesting.
