Ah, the old haunted power supply. Must be reacting to the advent of Halloween.

Talk about dodging a bullet, or an identity disc perhaps.

I have been slowly fixing my parents house, between drywall repair/replacement, painting, new door frames, I expect this house to be nearly new by the time they move out in a few years. Huge contrast since the last time this house had a major makeover was 20 years ago. The kitchen still looks like it's from the early 60's though.

The sixties was not known for its timeless color plans...

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Paint wise it has been updated but everything else, counter, cabinets and floor is still 60's.

Had two cavities filled today. Could barely talk on the phone tonight with my friend Kathy. Sucked.

Been there. I just sleep through it.

Your friend Kathy did what? Over the phone too that's quite a talent.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Had two cavities filled today. Could barely talk on the phone tonight with my friend Kathy. Sucked.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Well, my hatches are battened so to speak in anticipation of the so-called "Frankenstorm." While the talking heads are calling it more epic than the "Perfect Storm" of '38, I remain a bit jaded perhaps. I've lived on the Eastern seaboard my entire life and have weathered countless storms accompanied by dire - and grossly overstated - threats and forecasts of doom. Of course, that cynicism probably only means that this will be the one to drop my house on a witch.
BTW, Teaos - no, I do not recall the storm of 1938 first-hand.
EDIT - also, if you don't hear from me for a couple of days... well, my old-fashioned ISP doesn't seem to work too well amidst widespread power outages. If you don't hear from me ever, I probably died in a storm-related but humorous way.

I'm with Mikey, except farther north. So I'm really skeptical it's gonna impact me heavily. I got some bottled water and flashlights, as well as some Transformers I haven't played with for a while. I might even break out ROTF Leader-class Optimus Prime and try to transform him... and then chuck him against a wall.

Well I have 12 liters of water, 6 of coke and a supply of easy made food, I live on the 15th floor of a newish apartment building that has a generator so I think I'm fine, first time I have faced a storm like this on land but I have sailed through 3 of them at sea so I doubt this will be worse.
Never the less I am going to "Zombie apocalypse" code yellow just incase.

Take care, and good luck.

Yeah, good luck guys. Remember to have plenty of canned food on hand. Medical supplies too, but you should always have those.
