to you, you family and your daughter, keep you various chins up...and don't let it get your hope down.

Thanks, all. I appreciate it. She's looking better today and she ate more than she has since she's been here. Fortunately, our other 2 daughters are with a family friend, and I call them every night on my cell phone to say good night and that I miss them. My oldest, Bethany, is old enough to understand what is happening, and Ashley, my middle girl, knows that Heidi is sick and needs to be in the hospital. Man, I hate hospitals. I hate being here. I hate having to go through this. I never expected to go through anything like this, I keep expecting to wake up from a nightmare. Our other 2 girls are perfectly healthy, completely normal births, nothing that would warrant any concern over having a third child.

Okay, my rant is over now. I feel better.

Well, it's good to hear that she seems to be getting better. I can only hope that whatever it was was a once-off incident.

They are now weaning her off of the phenobarbitol, and she's been feeding regularly. She's more awake now and more responsive, and the neurologists came and said her EEG results looked better than the last two she had. If everything goes well, it looks like she'll be discharged on Monday, and we can finally go home back to Paradise, CA. Then a follow up in a few months, to see how she's doing. Did I mention how much I hate hospitals?

yesterday's weather was a lot worse then expected on my way home and I...went into the ditch, again. we haven't gotten it out of the ditch
so we don't know how bad the damage was, if there was any at all. We're just have trouble getting it out. I was doing about 50 MPH when everyone in front of me started slamming their brakes. A cop was stopped by another guy in the ditch about a mile ahead, which is when everyone saw him and hit their brakes. I lost control, but I almost saved it, but was still going too fast and had to ditch it or hit the guy in front of me. It was right next to the on-ramp, so I went through that snow piling up between the ramp and the highway. I had hoped that would slow me down, or at least let me take control again, but there wasn't enough snow and the ramp too slick. I went in at a bit of an angle, from trying to stay on the road. If I knew I couldn't avoid the ditch I would've gone strait in. Any faster and I would've rolled again. :( I officially hate winter
