Trying to apply logic to english isnt really that sensible. Yes we say Cheque, but thats how it is always been. I dislike the American language because it is just a bastardised, lazy version of true english, even if that english makes no sense. Maneuver is one word I particularly get annoyed about. Yes, Manouevre is not as easy to spell. Tough titties to you, develop spelling ability.

Haha, see the bolded word.... That's the American way. If your not being lazy, your unpatriotic! Or something like that...

Commie.
I like to say, "If necessity is the mother of invention, then laziness is it's father."

All we did was remove all the pointless "U"s you people threw into every word and you got pissy about it.

That's because its the way it is! Thats the first step to doing text speak.
Oh look, the o and gh in Through are completely pointless. Lets right Thru. Th is a little long winded, lets use F. There you go, Fru.
Because. Such a pointlessly long word. the E is kinda pointless cause the B makes the same sound, lets remove it. bcause. Ause makes the same nose as us, so lets change it again. bcus.
I have seen plenty of people on here getting pissed over text speak, when its precisely the same principle.

You're just pissed you still have to write the "U"s.

You can take my U's when you pry them out of my cold, dead typewriter.

We went from Trek to language, I guess that isn't too bad.

no, we went from trek combat ranges which we boiled down to math(s) and then got into language after debating if math has and s or not.
you can't forget the power of the transition topic.

Then why do I prefer writing it with a "U" if I am pissed about it?

You're too stuck up to admit you're wrong and change.

So it's wrong to spell something differently? By that logic every language in the world is wrong, if it isn't American english. French spell hello "Bonjour", so are they wrong? I admit, I can possibly be stuck up. And I do generally have a slightly negative view of American's, although most of the ones on this website really have changed that to what my former opinion of them were. And I can understand why you spell it differently, even if I disagree. But having a different opinion is automatically wrong?

Pretty much.

They're the French, they're always wrong.
But having a different opinion is automatically wrong?
Yep.
