We may disagree on a daily basis, but you have to admit; I'm thorough when it comes to researching stuff.

I agree. Nice work there, Rochey. The number of tubes seems pretty obvious from those shots.

I was hoping that'd catch on.
Yeah well I still coined the original TR-116 saying :P

Is someone really trying to argue against the Akira being a torp boat? Who the hell was that stupid! I need to start insulting them ASAP!

Sure wasn't me. I'd say the designer of the ship saying it has 15 tubes means it has 15 tubes, regardless of whether we saw all of them in action.

Smart guy, so then who was it?

I have the urge to hurt someone's feelings!

What, you can't be bothered to read back through? Get one of your lackeys to do it. :P

It was mlsnoopy.

I think he gave up after I laid down airtight evidence against his claims.

Very nice analisis Rochey.
I'm also getting tired of people questioning it. The 15 tt's are canon (or as close to canon as you can get). They are al visible on the models in the various eps and they have been consistently mentioned by the ships designers and the producers.

That certainly was some nice work by Rochey. I think, though, that for purposes of this discussion, we don't need to know a number of tubes more exact than "a butt-load." Having even APPROXIMATELY as many as the Akira-class does pretty much signifies her INTENDED, if notapplied, role.

Yeah back in the day SF never used ships properly. Although now they are doing a better job, the Defiant was used well most of the time, the Intrepid filled its roll and the Nova and Prommy were both well placed.

Thanks, guys.

And yeah, the amount of torp tubes on the thing clearly shows what it's intended for.

NOW you're thinking like Starfleet.
