The Marvel movie universe may have had a far better run then the DC movie franchise. But one thing you have to give DC credit for is Wonder Woman, the first female comic book superhero to be given her own title role. And not only was it a good movie, it did quite well at the box office.

Off the top of my head, I do not think that any of the female Marvel characters could have as successful a movie as Wonder Woman did.

"the first female comic book superhero to be given her own title role" This is simply not true. Supergirl, Elektra, Tank Girl, Barb Wire and Catwoman (at least in name only) all come to mind. While Wonder Woman was certainly far better than any of these, it was by no means the first.
