Me too! Hard to believe that they are all gone. Well, as actors they have the advantage of a glimpse of immortality - we can always watch them, if we like.Tinadrin Chelnor wrote: That really made me feel truly sad when I saw it

Re: Leonard Nimoy hospitalized
Instead of 'This side of Paradise', Me TV had Amok Time on as a tribute. A damned fine episode, there.
Re: Leonard Nimoy hospitalized
I've seen him in interviews, he seemed like a solidly decent person beyond just the character.
And he gets much of the credit for the character. He's supposed to have come up with the Vulcan greeting himself.
In related news, anybody seen this drama?

If you mean the hand gesture, yes; it's based on a traditional Jewish gesture used during the blessing of the Sabbath candles.sunnyside wrote:He's supposed to have come up with the Vulcan greeting himself.

Shatner defends absence from funeral
William Shatner defended himself on Twitter this weekend after his decision to skip Leonard Nimoy's Sunday funeral earned him the tabloid nickname "Captain Jerk."
Nimoy, who died Friday at 83, was best known for his portrayal of "Star Trek" science officer Spock, a logic-driven ally and foil to Shatner's earnest Captain Kirk.
Shatner on Nimoy: Spock would not have been the same
Shatner explained in a series of tweets Saturday that he was in Florida for a Red Cross Ball and could not make it to Los Angeles in time for Sunday's service. His daughters will represent the family, he said.
