I got the Season 6 on DVD. I love 'Sacrifice of Angels' and 'Tears Of The Prophets pt. 1'. Fantastic Battle scenes.

I'd like to think that eventually you will want to watch all of DS 9.
It is all worth watching, in my opinion.

Welcome, N'tran, and well said.
From first to last, DS9 was the most consistent 'Trek franchise, IMHO. It had growing pains at the beginning, to be sure, but the difference from the good to the bad wasn't as severe as TNG, for example.

The key difference was that the bad episodes of TNG made me want to throw something at the telly. The bad episodes of DS9 were simply boring.

From seasons 1 and 2 you could just watch these episodes and get the jist of things I'd say and start up with the much better season 3 and watch it more or less complete from there:
Emissary
Duet
In The Hands of the Prophets
Whispers
The Jem'Hadar

Truthfully, watch the first episode to set things up, go for Graham's **** or higher seasons 1/2 (not many) and then most of 3 onward. Good times.

The best thing about DS9 was how the story gradually built it's self up. While you can skip a couple of episodes along the way and still enjoy it, DS9 is probably the only series where you can watch all of the episodes and have good fun doing so.

Good point, Dan, and welcome to the forum!
Very true - there was far more built on prior occurences (somewhat necessary when building up to outright war) in DS9 than in any other 'Trek franchise.

I would avoid the episodes that are heavy on the Bajoran religion. My eyes rolled around at breakneck speed because of the cheese factor and they tended to be very boring.
Definetly watch Trials and Tribble-ations in season five. It's pretty cool if your a TOS fan and the end on the Big E's bridge is a perfect cap.
