I've heard of people say that a rabbit's foot was lucky, but I can't help thinking that one sure as hell didn't provide much luck for the rabbit it was taken from...

From what I remember, Potatoes are bad luck for the irish, which is why i'm using it. DUH!

No we're not!

OK, maybe we are, but not because of this. Having a foot cut off is definitely bad luck for a rabbit; leprechauns and four-leaf clovers are traditional symbols of good luck;and the Potato Famine was as bad as luck can get for the Irish. What exactly is insane about any of those statements?

And I really can't eat potatoes much anymore... they metabolize into sugar very rapidly.

Potatoes are one of the most commonly eaten foods over here. That's not exactly bad luck.

Then again, maybe that's the reason we kept getting invaded...
