They grow the Avatars at Pandora right?
Re: Handwavium, Bullshit, Possibility?
AFAWK, yes.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

If thats the case then I have a really hard time believing that they can't cope with major injuries and such, diseases; OK. But you can't use the facilities to grow a liver or an arm?
Re: Handwavium, Bullshit, Possibility?
It's possible that while they could, it would take too much time to grow them (if time was an issue, such as an iminent life threat).

Actually I believe there was a line some about how the avatars "mature during transit." Plus it just makes a bit more sense to me, that if the avatars are human/na'vi hybrid clones, that they would have shipped a store of na'vi DNA to earth to have on hand for the proccess, rather than shipping every individual's DNA who was going to have an avatar out to pandora ahead of said individual. After all, both Norm's and Jake's avatars were ready for them when they arrived.stitch626 wrote:AFAWK, yes.

Correct. They start growing them on Earth and load them up with the drivers. They mature on the trip to Pandora. One of the ISV crew's responsibilities is to oversee the growth of the Avatars.

Very interesting break down Tyyr and really cool ship.
I'm curious about this faster than light communicator you speak of. It sounded almost like it was a science fact but how does it work?

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

It actually is science fact and is a tantalizing possibility for FTL communication.
