Being that we are Exiles we can come from any chapter we want. Everyone could be of a different chapter and it wouldn't really matter.

You know, discussions like this one really make me realize how much more I have to learn about the 40k universe. I can barely make full sense of half of what's been said.

Yeah, there's a lot out there. I, personally, have never even played tabletop WH40k. I only even got into the fiction recently, and started cruising the Lexicanum and hitting the "Random Page" button... a lot.

And he even turned the usual chaplain attire of skulls up to 11 by wearing giant and dragon skulls.

I have no issues abusing power when it suits me. Dreadnaught chaplain with dragon skulls suits me.

Same here, this forum was my first exposure to the universe.

Okay question, there's the Lexicanum there, but there is also the WH40k wiki. Is either one a better source than the other, or are they about the same?

If you're considering a non-canon chapter this is a lot of fun: Space Marine Painter

There's an awful lot of duplication in the text of the articles, but Lexicanum has more images, better sourcing, and seems to be better updated with the new fluff and background material.
