I love Jack's response to any technobabble from Carter or Daniel.
Carter/Daniel "Blah blah blah blah...."
Jack "Uh, yeah. In English?"
It makes the characters seem much more realistic.

I love how sci-fi is getting more and more realistic, people wise. They've done the whole, "I don't understand you" lead characters more and more often, like in Eureka or Flash Gordon. They should do that a little more often in Atlantis. Eureka does that all the time.
"This will result in a cataclysmic collision of weather anomalies."
"What?"
"Ice funnel of death."
"Oh, why doesn't he just call it 'ice funnel of death'?"

it was an episode with Hathor, that grinded my gears, a petty Goa'uld or Jaffa pronounced 'Jaffa' as 'Jaffer'........i can't remember much else of the episode, besides it featuring a Tok'ra operative and Tok'ra tunnels

The latest on this series:
According to Cooper, Stargate Universe "maintains the spirit of Stargate, but opens up a whole new 'universe'." It is "a completely separate, third entity" - as opposed to Stargate Atlantis, which was created as a spin-off from the first series Stargate SG-1. Like the first two series in the franchise, Stargate Universe will take place during the present time, not in the distant future. The show will be "set on a ship that was part of an Ancient experiment" to seed the galaxies with Stargates millions of years ago but that was prematurely ended by the Ancients' ascension. After placing Stargates throughout multiple galaxies, a second ship would follow up and explore. The basis of Stargate Universe is the ninth and final chevron, which previously unknown would serve to get to the first ship.

Thank god it isnt time travel or alternate universe.
The thing that gets me though is its going to be lacking in an enemy.
We've had everything.
Superpowered gods - Ori - you cant get anymore powerful than them.
Unstoppable swarm - Replicators - could do again but would be stupid.
Freaky humanoid vampires - Wraith
Whats left?
With there advanced tech no one could stand up to them.

What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
