Considering that this is an interpretation of a trailer, I'm not concerned. Does the trailer say that they're still cadets, or that he's wearing a "cadet shirt" (whatever that is)? I still say it's the undershirt everyone else is wearing.Cpl Kendall wrote:So, the entire ships chain of command is dead? Give me a break, the lowest deck seamen on the ship outranks a goddamn officer cadet. Those guys are so low they take orders from Privates. And then Leonard McCoy says that the Enterprise has no captain and no first officer and nobody to replace them. "Yeah we do," Kirk says, sitting proudly in the captain's chair despite his black cadet shirt.![]()
Ok, yeah I know, keep an open mind.

I hope so but even then McCoy's statement doesn't make any sense. Yeah the CO and XO are dead, you still have a third officer and no shit you can't replace the CO or XO, unless you have a replicator pattern handy and it's TNG.Tsukiyumi wrote:

We know that, but the fact remains that Kirk never seems to have the overshirt on (except in one clip, which I bet is near the end of the movie), and everybody else does.Tsukiyumi wrote:I still say it's the undershirt everyone else is wearing.

Perhaps the entire crew was killed. "No one to replace them" seems rather specific.Cpl Kendall wrote:I hope so but even then McCoy's statement doesn't make any sense. I recant my previous stance on this movie. It looks to be concentrated awesome and I'll be able to ignore the stupid CoC shit if the plot is otherwise decent.

Good question.Cpl Kendall wrote:Anyone know what the music in it is?
In the trailer, it looks like Vulcan is destroyed, and the Big E at least takes a serious pounding (if it doesn't get destroyed). They really are setting up a totally new timeline here, which I think is great. If this is a success, I wonder where they'll go with it?

Re: Some new views of the movie...
IDK but the trailer music is amazing, the whole trailer was amazing, I love it, I cant wait for it to come out.
I hope that they can restart a fanbase for a different era, that would be an amazing thing if it did happen.

That thing was flippin' awesome. The part at the beginning where Pike talks about George Kirk made me feel kinda tingly.

Well, maybe it was just young Kirk, learning in stages to increase his power by shirt removal.Lazar wrote:We know that, but the fact remains that Kirk never seems to have the overshirt on (except in one clip, which I bet is near the end of the movie), and everybody else does.Tsukiyumi wrote:I still say it's the undershirt everyone else is wearing.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
