I meant Abrams' comments like, "we're not making a movie for fans of Trek, we're making a movie for fans of movies."
I'm still going to reserve judgement until I see it.

The Bridge looks to modern, the ship has an eyeball on top of it... Hell if I wanted to see this I would have watched Enterprise...

This looks nothing like I expected. The bridge looks so... bright. I swear the dude in the chair looks like Hayden Christensen. Overall though I can't complain about anything I see.

Seeing it now, I think the cast of the movie is well suited to their roles.
The rest of it looks pretty fine to me, but I dislike the bridge. It just looks so....out of place when compared to Trek bridges from
any series, let alone TOS. I'd been expecting something along ENT's bridge style.

No doubt they would mess that up to... maybe the Klingons are decended from a Borg/Voth Hybrid... maybe that would be exciting enough for JJ... let the raping of the franchise continue...
