Holo Chakotay taking over Voyager.

Given the dearth of good options for poor Mr Chakotay, I'd have to say his dating 7 looks pretty sweet

That is an excellent suggestion! I loved that visual and it showed that Chakotay could be hardcore when the situation demanded it.

I thought of one. A real one. Chakotay making the decision to go after what he thought was his child in "Basics: Part 1"

Sorry, but I'd rank that as a pretty damn stupid moment. Consider that he ended up getting Voyager captured and its crew kicked off onto a backwater planet and it becomes and even worse decision.

Didn't about 4 or 5 crewmembers die because of that?

If I remember rightly, there was the guy who was guarding the Kazon right before he exploded, one guy got shot on the Bridge, Hogan and another crewman got eaten on the planet, and poor Ensign Suder got John Wayned.

Couldn't we blame Janeway for that? She is the Captain.

Yes, but as Chakotay was the one who insisted on doing it he shoulders at least some of the blame. Janeway initialy wanted to just ignore Seska and get on with going home, IIRC.
