BTW, to clarify. We are claiming (as in, telling you BIG which systems we plan on taking) this turn but we are not taking till next turn.

However that does not prevent us from taking military control of the systems, even if that isn't the preferred route.

Yes you can move in ships and troops if you wish just write the orders. Going to be a messy turn when I try to make sense of the diplomatic fragments I got and translate that into actions and intel.

If you want, we can give you a run down of the changes we made in a bullet pointed form?

To answer a frequent question. Colonization cost about 750,000 credits per colony the first year. It changes at various times after that. Part of the adventure is that you don't know which way cost will adjust.
Re: Star Trek Sim discussion
What if the planet isn't being colonized and just being claimed?

Ah that makes me feel better. I was worried it be like 2M each.BigJKU316 wrote:To answer a frequent question. Colonization cost about 750,000 credits per colony the first year. It changes at various times after that. Part of the adventure is that you don't know which way cost will adjust.

Re: Star Trek Sim discussion
Need all turns by noon Monday if at all possible. It is going to be a horribly messy round trying to sort a lot of stuff out. Sorry if I have been slow to get back this weekend. Had out of town visitors and a fairly long road trip as well.

Mines in if you got it.
I'll need to know about whether we can claim but not colonize, I don't know if I can support all the planets that I've claimed.

I won't be able to get mine on today, I have a doctors visit in the city which I'll be up there all day, but I'll work on it up there and get back to you ASAP.

Re: Star Trek Sim discussion
Thats fine Nick.
As an FYI to the group. Having spent several hours trying to sort through fragments of rumors of deals and negotiations being conducted that I have no knowledge of I have basically worn myself out and decided on a new course of action when I can't get copied on negotiations. Despite what many may or may not think it is very critical that I see the run up to events rather than just the end result. Since I can't make sense of at least 4 different deals that were occuring this turn I am just going to conduct a series of random rolls to fill in the holes in my knowledge.
So if you cut a deal that I was kept in the dark about except for someone possibly sending me the results at the end then I will flip a coin to determine if such a deal was really cut or if one or both parties are lying through their teeth. If you are a democracy that didn't copy me on information then I will flip a coin to determine if you were bought off by the other side for example.
I have practically begged that this be done. Hell, I can't even police if you want to talk it all out then throw a little stage show after the fact to show me some sort of path from point A to point B. But many refuse and then tell me later that the only area of importance is where we ended up.
So if that is how it is then I am going to adopt this method to determine the path that got us from A to B. Then everyone else gets to deal with the results.

Re: Star Trek Sim discussion
Also if at all possible can you all remember to send me the complete DITL workup for new designs rather than just whats in the R&D tab? Tsuki does a great job with this but I have let the rest of you slip. Its a pain when there are like 4 or 5 new ships to have to enter all of it into DITL to get the numbers I need to fill out the sheet.
Thanks.
Thanks.
