The Edge of Destruction (#3)

Patrick Troughton: The Mind Robber (#45)
The Seeds of Death (#48)

Jon Pertwee: Spearhead from Space (#51)
The Three Doctors (#65)

You could say I have Time Lord OCD right now.

And thanks for the information on the Doctors. I'm most familiar with Tom Baker, then kind of lost interest when Peter Davison was The Doctor, then started watching again with David Tennant.
Not the worst thing in the world to have!

I got in sorta through Tom Baker, but the first one I ever saw was a Hartnell one called 'The Chase'. The local PBS station would run every single episode from Baker's first episodes 'Robot' all the way through to McCoy's final one 'Survival'. They also ran 'Are You Being Served?', 'Red Dwarf', and a bunch of other BBC stuff during Friday and Saturday nights. *Sigh* I miss it. :(

Yeah, I remember that PBS line-up too... IIRC, they also ran 'Allo, 'Allo. Ian - from where is that color pic of Hartnell?

Possibly The Myth Makers, looking at that lamp in his hand. That's just a guess though.

It's been ages since I watched PBS, anything! I remember Masterpiece Theatre, the first one I saw was "Russ Polldark".

That was probably my first taste of non-american TV.

I think mine was Robotech from the 80's. And Voltron, too.

I started with Jon Pertwee and then moved on to Thom Baker. If you like the Tennant doctor then the Christopher Eccelston year will be very interesting. It's just after the end of the time war and he's still hurting from those events. It also sets the ground work for the Tennant years.

My second-favorite episodes are Eccleston ones. "The Empty Child' and 'The Doctor Dances'.

Probably shouldn't say this, hope nobody rips my head off, but I really don't like Barbara Wright. I kept telling the Doctor, "Throw the whiny b**** off the Tardis."

Yeah, but for me those two episodes were nigh-perfect. And had a great ending. "Just this once, everybody LIVES!" He needed that, I think.

I'll... agree to disagree on that, okay? ;) Different strokes and all that. I read on another forum the theory that Barbara and Ian were the ones to really teach the Doc how to be the Doc, and not just some rogue Time Lord.

When you put it that way, and I have only watched three storylines, so I shouldn't judge, and my opinion can change, that theory is valid. And I do remember seeing that viewpoint on a Dr. Who special.

Now that you mention it, he was rather high handed, but she was POUTING! Like a kid. I hate pouting. I mean I never pout.

Right... ;)

Gonna put this in spoiler, since not sure if you've seen it or not.
In An Unearthly Child, a caveman is injured, and Barbara and Ian decide to help him back to his tribe. The Doc picks up a rock with the clear intent to kill him with it. Ian grabs his wrist and asks what the hell he's doing, which is probably the beginning of the Doc becoming the Doc.

That scene was in the special I saw.

Somebody stole my college Chemistry book right out of my bag on Monday. $200 down the drain. Now I am shopping for the most beat up POS book I can find. This semester alone, I spent $800 on books.

Why would someone steal it? You can sell it back for $50 or more. Easy money.

I'll be SOOOOO glad after april 15th. I'm putting together a program for an NA gathering (think camping convention) and its wearing me the hell out. Between work, PT, doc appts, and NA, I haven't had free time for a week.
