Ian - yeah, I'm talking about a stretch of 6 weeks or so during which I've enjoyed particularly good sugar control, and the sypmtoms have only been around for about 2 weeks. They've been ongoing, so I don't think it's a question of sleeping on it wrong, but hopefully it's something other than diabetes-related. Again, I haven't felt anything in the feet, which I'm led to believe is the more usual starting point for neuropathic issues.

The majority of the right side of my back has had little or no feeling for about four years now. I should probably look into that, eh?

To see a decent doctor without insurance? About $150. I just don't have that kind of money to spare, if i intend to keep my lights on. Or eat.

I don't even think McCain has a plan for revising the health care system. That's a big problem over here; people with money (the people who could make changes), generally don't see the problem with the current system. They can't see around their silver spoons, so to speak.

My vote might as well already be cast for Obama.

Out of curiosity, does McCain have any plans? So far I haven't heard of him suggesting to change or fix anything.

He's spewed some sh*t about alternative energy (including nuclear, which I do support - Obama said the same thing, though), and that's about it. Obama has made more comments about increasing the size and capability of our military than McCain (who's said nothing on the subject), which is odd for a Democratic candidate, and another reason I like the guy.

I've got to start paying for my check ups now, so I think I won't be going for about 50 years, when I'm out of uni debt.
