Zahmbe wrote:not really. some of my most awesome poems and ideas have come after a week of not sleeping...

though to be fair... I kinda can't sleep for the most part.... for other reasons then the fact that I am taking 18 credits
Sleep is necessary both for physical health and mental composure. Trust me, the ideas engendered on a sleepless binge of any length of time are never as good as the sleep-deprived think they are. I read an author once who, after 36 sleepless hours, was nodding off and had an idea of epic proportions. Knowing he was going to fall asleep soon, he scrambled for a pencil and paper to get his idea down before it was lost. Later, he woke up and recalled having an epic idea - he found his note and read, in his own handwriting, "There's a funny smell in the room."

You may get great ideas for poems without sleep, but I guarantee that they will be technically better when written while you're not sleep-deprived.

Sounds like a close tie to me...

I like sleep when I sleeping, but I hate it when I'm already up. Makes for an odd bit of not wanting to go to bed and not wanting to get up.

On another note, Mythbusters are... is... not sure which... using an RPG in their show tonight. Awesomeness...

Yessss, I completely agree with this... and everyone else thinks I'm mad!

Although considering your lack of sanity, they maybe right :)

Okay, so around end July/early August I house sat for my cousin and his wife, looking after their two cats. I don't watch television for the most part, and didn't at all while at their place, so when they returned and couldn't find their remote(some digibox of some sort) we were all baffled as to its location. I hadn't used it, and it wasn't in its usual resting place.

Now, two months later, I just randomly decided to sort out my laptop bag (I haven't used it since then, as I have a new hold all), and lo-and-behold, their digibox remote is in my laptop bag's open rear pocket. I can only assume their damned kitten (pesky little thing) knocked it off its perch and in it slipped.

How much of a dick do I feel :|

But I just called to confess, and Mike's wife was cool with it, she thought it hilarious in fact, and she got a nice new pink digibox out of it.

Well gang, today is gonna be a miserable day. Woke up this morning late for work, my back is completely FUBAR, I'm out of medication, and my GF is pissed at me because I don't want to go on an overnight sailing trip from Oahu to Maui with her and her friends.

What a lovely morning this is shaping up to be. Why did I get out of bed again?

Well, aside from that Ms Lincoln, how was the play? :P

Hang in there, man.

Stay in bed? I had company after all.....at least till I told her I'm not getting on a sailboat on the pacific ocean, and asked if she learned anything from Gilligans Island.

And I think Ms. Lincoln like the first act the best. The second didn't go so well.
