1) Another reason COULD be she's trying to keep many different parts of her life apart. The best way to compartmentalize is to lie your ass off. It could be she's trying to keep her options open as well. But asking HER friends is an excercise in futility, unless the friend has some reason to want to dime her out. If the friend DOES rat her out, you've got to question the friends motives.

2) The great thing about lying is that you can write reality to suit your wants, needs, and desires. The problem with it is that it usually comes out in the wash. Some people lie to make their lives seem more exciting, some lie to keep something hidden. Hell, some lie because they have a disorder and can't help themselves.

3) This is a manipulation, pure and simple. I've known several people that have either attempted or committed suicide. The serious ones DON'T tell you they're gonna do it, because they don't WANT anyone to stop them. No offense, but I think this gal may need to see someone about these many issues you've been talking about. I don't suppose there's any chance she's on drugs, is there? That would explain the lying, the manipulation, and so forth.

If she's taken this long and still can't bring you to the family then its time for one of two things. Either you're a total waste of a human being and need to get yourself in order... or... she's a total waste of a human being and isn't worth the time you're spending on her.

I doubt very much she has touched drugs... I dabbled with them when I was a few years younger and she is very anti-drug.

I know what you mean Mark, with the suicide thing. Two friends of mine committed suicide a over the past four years (both of which she knows about, and neither of which any one had even suspected would happen, on the other hand my biological mother has attempted many many times, but only when she knows people are there to stop her, or she self harms but makes it obvious to people).

Her friend that has spoken to me is now also a very close friend of mine. She went through a tough time a year ago and I was there to help her. There's never been anything more between us, but most of the friends of the girl I've been seeing have ALL told me that she is a waste of air, and can't be trusted. These are her best friends, and the fact they say that makes me wonder why the hell they "pretend" to be her friends.

I know she lies and manipulates, and what's worse is the lies are so transparent and obvious. But I do genuinely feel that she does feel the same way about me as I do her, perhaps you're right Mark and she needs to see someone.

And Deep, for my part I once would have agreed that I am a waste of a Human being, but over the past few years I have been shown exactly how much some people do believe in me. I let this girl get away with a lot, granted, it's just when I'm around her, or talking to her, or just sitting and holding her, I feel like... well I'm sure you get the picture...

Anyway guys, just needed to ask impartial advice, has been much enlightening, and I shall consider MY options (rather than hers).

Cheers!

How you feel is something that doesn't always matter. What matters is the facts at hand. If she can't be trusted then you're better off leaving while life is still somewhat good of a memory.

Yeah, she's the one who I got to come along to here. And there's a lot more to say, she just doesn't like to admit it.
