I think M'Real meant that it's difficult to massively overhaul the security on an important system without people noticing. Those people than yap to their friends about it, and news is all over the ship in a few hours. Hence how M'Real knew about the upgrade.
Well, it's his loss then. But I've still got a plan or two up my sleeves.
Maybe so, but the fact that you're forced onto your backup plans is still a victory for the Commander. Also, there's now nothing you can do to stop me going ahead and saying whatever I like about you to the Captain, or stop me from placing access to the comms with the crew members who are loyal to me. Since I specified to the Captain that the meeting was top-secret, he isn't just going to let you waltz in on it, and you can't order him to let you in, either. The only person who could possibly get you access to the meeting now would be Munro, and I doubt he'd be all too willing, seeing as your conversation went rather badly.

OK....
So had lots of reading to do but i think i have things squared away in my head here.
M'real did send an encrypted message to her 'mother'
There is a new security thing for com set up.
No one on staff likes M'Real.
The Cardy does like M'Real.
The investigation is into Rochey?
as of right now
Mikey, Rochey, The Breen, and the captain are in the ready room.
The Cardy and M'Real are on the bridge.
From the time of my last post one day has past.
Ship time as far as i can tell is at 1100
On this base i am making a post, any problems with it i will change

Wow. Great turn, Minnsky. Now I'm going to have to visit a couple of differnet people before the staff meeting... no rest for the wicked, eh?

lol aye.
notes:
Time stamp for my last post ends at 2200 that is on the day BEFORE the staff meating.
Chances are that Minnsky will go to sleep at 0000 and wake at 0900.
Program 01 will recognize a Federation officer as a friendly and try to convince him/her to leave.
too minnsky M'real is a bigger threat then Daystrom.

just for confermation, Darel does indeed like M'Real. I'm working on the angle of him being friendly towards outsiders

Slight correction:
The investigation is into Rochey?
Technicaly, it's into the events surrounding the deaths of the various crewmembers on board, though M'Real
does seem to be gunning for me in particular. Hence why I've decided to make life on the ship as difficult as possible for her.
And if you managed to decode that transmission, the Commander may be quite grateful for you informing him of what it was.
Hmm, I suppose something will have to be done about Blackstar's half finished ship. It'll probably end up getting deconstructed for spare parts.

Actually, I have an idea to propose at some point. A new sensor system, which would be easier to build into a ship already under construction, then having to tear an old one apart and try to make it fit.
And she isn't really gunning for Rochey. He just won't sit down and talk to her, which makes her suspicious and annoyed with him. The ironic thing is he actually has nothing to worry about.

I could use the shuttlecraft. It may be useful as an uprated version of the standard model.
