It's supposed to be a damn freighter. Fuck maneuverability. For a commercial freighter its far more important that it be able to be kept running.

I'm with Tyyr here. All of his technical points, and the fact it's just fucking ugly. I have seen plenty of functional yet aesthetically attractive designs out there. This thing makes me think of the weird Chicken Ships out of Jimmy Neutron.

Yeah, I guess for it's original design purposes, that would make more sense. For the purposes they were using it for, however, maneuverability would be paramount.

I agree there, but it makes no sense that the ship would originally be designed that way. Well, not the first time people make stupid design decisions, but that's a pretty big one for a freighter. By this time I'd assume people would have a good idea of what it takes to make a good freighter and the stupid design decisions would amount to, "Why'd they have the door open that way?"

Considering that we never saw another Firefly-class, and considering how drastic the refit for the movie was, I'd say it's possible the engine pylons were a modification; at the end of the movie, they're strapping the whole pylon back on with little seeming difficulty.

The green looked pretty bad, Kirk seems more of a Sithy guy, more than a Jedi.

And Green didn't look good at all, however, since the pic is grayscale I will fix it quickly.
