This is one of the happiest days of my life. I know that sounds a bit cliche, but it's true. And I'm not biased or anything but damn! we make some good-looking babies! If it's okay with everyone I'd like to post some photos soon of the newest addition(not the gross ones). Oh, and I won the Caption Competition, too, after 36 honorable mentions. Man, does this day get any better?

I will have some pics up as soon as possible, and thanks everyone! I've been on a mix of endorphins, caffeine, and sleep deprivation for... well, since the 3rd, so that'd be 4 days? I'm surprised I can even type cohher....co...cooheeren...type good!

I've been in USCF(University of California San Francisco) Children's hospital since Saturday, my little Heidi was having seizures Fri. morning and we still don't know why. I hate hospitals, but if Heidi has to be in one, I'm glad it's this one. We normally live three and a half hours further north, and the hospital where we live had no beds available for her, so they called around to Chico (16 min. drive), Redding (1 hour), and Sacramento (2 hour), and the closest one they could find was San Francisco. They've run MRIs, EEGs, and spinal taps to rule things out, and they still don't know exactly why she had seizures. On the EEGs, there were still some signs of "seizure activity" in her brain, even on antiseizure meds (phenobarbitol). I'm still here, with my wife. They have us in their "family sleep" room, a converted conference room during the night, and they have internet access in the family lounge.

Oh crap, that definitely isn't good. I can only hope that whatever it is isn't serious. Good luck.
