If you guys don't mind, I'll have to back out for the time being. I'm about to get snowed under in terms of workload.

Wait a minute. So I have to spend my 500 XP at the start on pistol training... wow. My swashbuckling RT is not off to a great start.

Maybe I need to look into building her as a DH character.

No you don't. One of the talents you start with is Pistol Weapons Training (Universal), why they have it as an advance as well is beyond me.

Check pg. 41 of the RT rulebook. The darkened box at the top of the page is all advances and loot you start with automatically. Including a plasma pistol if you want it...

Oh for the love of... that's the problem with wide format screens, they aren't so great for document viewing.

I'm finding I need my glasses a lot more nowadays.

I'm feeling old.

I'm gonna give a go on creating characters, I'm in a reasonably bright mood this morning and hopefully my mind is up to it.

I'd figre ship's store, and peons to set up/take down as needed. You also get into the fun question of fighting the enemy longer, or retreating first, and letting your redshirts get killed by the local threat. Makes for a lack of volunteers for the next mission though.

Now to make an astropath. Can we select a random mutation when making a character?
