Guys, your talking about Descent of Angels. Angels of Darkness is the Dark Angels novel that does not take place in the HH era. And yeah, Descent of Angels was pointless in the series.

No, Deep is right. Thorpe's Angels of Darkness includes flashback narrative by one of the Fallen which provides great insight into the division between El'Jonson and Luther, and into the Lion's individual failings as well.

Ahh, I thought you guys meant DoA cause Deep mentioned "series". I'm going to pick up the Thorpe book at the end of the month though if Chapters has it, just because it's Gav and I'm a completist.

Its part of the "Fallen" series... Talking about all the fallen chapters - Dark Angels, Soul Drinkers, etc... Though, I think I just got everyone mixed up. Now I'm just confused as to who was talking about what.

Soul Drinkers, oh god lets not get started on that abortion.

What, you don't like Spider-Man?

You know, I still haven't finished the last book in that omnibus? I might just take it to the used bookstore, or give it to you if I lose that bet.

To tell the truth, I didn't think
Chapter War was too terrible... but of course, I read that right after reading C S Goto's
Warrior Brood, so reading the instructions on a pack of toilet paper would have seemed pretty good at the time.

I got to the SM drop in the DoW Ominbus before stopping. It breaks the genre so much that Goto may as well called it GotoVerse.
Edit: I never picked up
Chapter War. I even balk at spending money on other Counter books, despite knowing that there not all steamers.

Grey Knights is worth a read, IMO. It's interesting, just because the workings of a daemon prince figure so much that Counter can't help but avoid the standard "he possessed a daemonhost and did bad things" sum-up.

Yeah, I didn't mind that one.
Dark Adeptus was a little more interesting IMO though, just because it was a look at alternate Ad Mech beliefs. I do find the GK's themselves to be somewhat tiresome however, you can only go so far with the "sentient servitor" schitck.

Never picked up Dark Adeptus. Mebbe I'll add it to the list... after Titanicus and the Swallows Blood Angels series.

Still no
Titanicus in paperback here.
But I've got a bunch of books to get through still.

I wish we could see some BFG books. That would be nice. So far there's one that I know of and it covers how the Tau raped both and Imp and Chaos fleet in order.
Imp fleet comes, gets hit by torps that are being shot from (like every other tau weapon) outside of sensor range. The Chaos fleet comes and gets the same. Tau feel good and novel ends.
