The only possible way to explain it is that what we call a light year and what they call a light year are two different things. Maybe they count a year as Vulcan year, or something else. Pretty far fetched but it would help explain the stupidity.

IIRC, no one mentioned distances at all - they simply stated the the NX-01 could make the trip in four days. Assuming that this means at Warp 5, 125c, this puts Qu'onos about 1 1/3 ly from Earth.

Yes there is. The speed of the NX-01 is defined in terms of how long it will take to get to Neptune - "Neptune and back in six minutes!" The distance to Kronos is then given as four days.

Vulcan units don't apply.
