No, it is true, because I'm talking about load space. The actual usable space that you can put things into behind the front row of seats. The issues with the fiesta as as follows (it's similar on a number of cars of that size):

Fiesta:


Honda Jazz:


- Look at the back of the car. It slopes down wasting useful space. At first look it's no apparent but it can easily be seen if you look at the rear window in both cars. Equally the rear window on the Fiesta is at almost 45 degrees whereas the Jazz is more like 25.

- The other thing that is clear from the pictures is that the front row of seats are further forward on the Jazz than the Fiesta, again if you look at the difference in the length of the bonnet (hood) you can clearly see this.

The Fiesta is also slightly shorter than the Jazz. 1525mm vs 1467mm (about 2.2" taller). The width is identical at 1695mm and the length is slightly shorter 3900mm vs 3950mm (1.9" shorter).
This means that the usable load space is longer and taller. 1320litres vs 979litres (about 34% larger volume, so OK my guestimate was slightly over). Equally, with all the seats in use the load space in the boot (trunk) alone is 337litres vs 295litres (14% larger volume).

Sitting in the car we have great difficulty believing that it's the same size as a Fiesta, so much so that my wife had to pace out the length and width of the car a number of times before she was convinced. Even now she still doesn't quite believe it The same was true of the Vauxhall Corsa (Opal Corsa I think in the US, but again you may not have that car).

So, I walked into work this morning, and got hit with a complaint. Somebody on the mainland was reviewing (ie listening to) our calls, and filed a report about me for using "a racist term".

Naturally I'm completely confused so I ask what they are talking about, so they played the call for me. I was talking to someone named "Jimiju", and when I pronounce it, it sounded like "Jimmy Jew".

Does depend what you want ss the Fiesta is a better drive (although my father hated it, very heavy) but its nowhere near as fuel efficient in real life.
