Shush, it's not all that exciting, I refuse to spend money on the chances that I have of winning in gambling, none of them are games of skill, they are all just luck, and to be honest, I hate strippers, like it doesn't excite me or anything, it kinda makes me sad that people will do that for others with no knowledge of who they are. But yeah, so sin city has little interest to me except for CES...
So I have a little to do here... But I am enjoying it, the scenery is quite nice, and the buildings are cool, and todY later I'm going to MGM studios for the CSI experience, which will be awesome.

Well, a good start, anyway.

Er, yeah - that's why they're called "gambling."

Mhmm, that's exactly my point. The chances of winning are so low that it's quite foolish to try and win.

Don't kid yourself; there's plenty of skill involved in Blackjack or Texas Hold Em.

Having grown up in Vegas, I can honestly say that of all the games, Poker is where you'll most likely win, as skill is more important than luck many times. Plus, your playing against the other players, and not the house. Of course, you've got to watch out for "shills" (people playing for the casino). If there are too many at a table, walk away.
Next we come to Blackjack. Single deck 21 is your best odds. The house only has a 1.5% advantage over the player. The problem is that you've got to get on a hot streak to win any real money, as its only an even money game (ie you bet $10 and you win $10, unless you hit a natural blackjack). Single deck is the easiest to "keep track of the cards played" (never say the words count and cards in the same sentence). However, to combat this, most casinos today have multi deck blackjack dealt from a shoe.
Then is Craps. If you bet conservitively the house usually has a 2.5% advantage (assuming this is if you play the PASS line. Your odds are actually better on the don't pass line).
Gimick games like paigow poker, war, and so forth are total gimick games as the odds suck.
Then the machines. Those wonderful slot and poker machines. Those golden little darling have a 70% house favor. A casino manager I once talked to said "These multi million dollar resorts sure aren't built on the money of winners, and most of it comes from machine players."
There's other cool stuff to do Nick. If she was a bit older, I'd ask my daughter to show you around a bit, but no offense.....she's 13 and you DO hang out with me and Tsuki alot

I gave a half-serious, generic answer; hold 'em poker both involves skill and has an outcome based on a relatively small part on the actual deal of the cards. Blackjack involves skill but, as Mark says, doesn't pay. In any event, the idea is that you enjoy yourself without
counting on winning. Handicapping horses is the same thing - you can be a great handicapper, but you're not always going to win.

It is 3:45 am, and I am Freaking Wired right now for some reason. Got up at 7am yesterday, had a full day, and my last caffeine fix was several hours ago. I don't know what the hell this is, but it feels weird. Laying in bed trying to go to sleep was literally unbearable. I had that freaky twitchy sensation you get when you can't move but you want to. Even just sitting still in my computer chair feels like I'm too restrained. I swear if it wasn't below freezing I'd throw on some sweats and take a run around the block to burn off some energy.
Fuck, I might do that anyway, maybe the cold will help.
