Most certainly, and worse yet they only seem to put the crappy ones on a 24 hour loop, there are a couple good Christmas movies, none of them ever play on Christmas.
And if you work in retail, don't forget about the endless Christmas music that slowly bores its way into your brain, eventually draining you of your sanity, gradually reducing you to a catatonic drooling thumb-sucker. Working at Radio Shack with Sirius XM Christmas Channel on... all... day... long... will do that to you.[/quote]
I've learned to tune it out... mostly...

Yeah, I hate Christmas music, there is little good music, and what good music there is, they NEVER play!

I look at it this way. My favorite band is Huey Lewis and the News. But if the same songs were played all day, even I'd get sick of it. Same with Christmas music. I generally like it, save 'Santa Baby'. Effing
HATE that song.

Oddly enough I concur. Except with the favorite band bit

Fair enough.

Well, I'm sore. By mid-morning on Monday, we had a bit over 2 feet (2/3 of a meter) of snow on the ground. Of course, this happened concurrently with my snowthrower deciding to shit the bed. Maybe a clogged fuel line, but more probably a bad spark plug. Of course, I couldn't just go get one - in addition to the "regular" snowfall, the plows left a 4-foot high, 3-foot deep rampart of packed snow of which Rogal Dorn would have been proud. So, I had to do the driveway and walk the old-fashioned way.

I hear ya, spent four hours shoveling out our neighborhood with shovels, going around to neighbors houses and shoveling them out. I am so incredibly sore from it though. Our oldest cat has decided to scratch his ear out and it has been bleeding profusely all night so we've had to keep with him to make sure he doesn't hurt himself too much.

Yeah, I felt bad - I normally do the driveway of one of our neighbors who is elderly and legally blind... I just couldn't even get to him. Fortunately, one of his kids came around to dig him out. Do you have a "cone of shame" for your cat to wear until the ear heals?

Sadly no, we'll be going to the vet tomorrow, but til then we have to make sure he's ok by staying with him all night, making sure he doesn't shake his head too much.

My girl is in New York right now (she didn't want to take me with her again), and sent me some pics. She's staying at her brothers house, which has a small four foot high fence. The snow is so thick you can just see the top. She sent me pics. I'm feeling better about not going now.

Daughter is spending the night at my mother's house; son is in bed for the night; and I have a bottle of homemade coquito. It's a good night for Mikey.

Either she's ashamed of me, or afraid I'll keep taking her clothes off in sub zero tempatures.
