This is my car and I pay about £500 a year. But I'm over 40 and have been driving for 10+ years and have a large no claims bonus.

The advantage of age and experience

Found a better example, its a larger car admittedly but here you go. 1:07 onwards!

Well today rightly sucks. It's cold, the roads are icy, and whatever it is I caught decided to wait until I arrived at work to really kick in, so now I'm coughing and dripping and my head is on fire and my feet are frozen solid.

...and my work password expired, so now I have to come up with a new one while I can barely think straight. This is going to be just a swell 8 hours.

That DOES suck.

I had a... good day. I didn't have to yell at anyone.

I wish my definition of a good day could be that simple.

So a friend of mine is having a night-terror, and I have to over the phone explain to another friend what to do about it. Not easy.

Not much to do about it... try to just calm down the person, and send him back to bed.

School has all you can drink coffee of which I enjoyed three 12oz mugs worth this morning. Drank a fair share at the school Christmas party which topped off the afternoon. Then I picked up 200lbs of salt and two new shovels for the coming snow. Packing it in for a few days and relaxing.

Ugh, snow. We had a grand total of about 1/4 of an inch on Thursday - for that miserable little pittance of snow, I got stuck behind two sanders and a severe car accident trying to get my daughter to her gymnastics class. :madashell:

Meanwhile, people travel the Parkway like it's nothing when there's enough snow falling to declare a state of emergency. :?

Down here with all the river's and ground water we have. Everything, even the two inches we got, stays snow on day one then melts on day two then turns to ice night two so morning of day three the state is under an inch of ice. Which is ever so fun with 29* temp and 30mph wind.

We're getting hit at the moment. We've had about 5cm I'd say, we're set to get another 20cm through the day. Sure enough, the entirety of Gosport and Fareham have completely shut down. Only the supermarkerts are still open, as the parents have just gone out. There's an advantage to having a dinky car, drives really well on snow.

We've finally been hit by the snow, having missed most of the bad weather so far. Hasn't affected us that badly, its the ice that causes problems. My tiny car is also holding up well.

My parents go out shopping for food, and they come back with the invoice for a direct swap (effectively) of the Chevvy Spark for this Ford Ka, now named Kodi.

I can't trust my parents with money...

Had the most miserable 3 days I have had in well over a decade. I haven't been so sick since some time back in middle school. Fever in the 102 range the entire time save for when the Advil was kicking in, but it never managed to get me below 100. Couldn't breath, couldn't eat (body readily rejected soup. Almost made it through my 20s without throwing up once, only to blow it with a mere 3 years to go. Hope my 30s go better), couldn't stand up without getting dizzy. Finally feeling better today, but better doesn't mean good. Fever's finally down to 100 without taking anything and I can keep down liquids, but doing anything is a sever effort. The only reason I'm even back on my computer is I'm more sick of laying in bed and watching tv than being upright makes me feel...for the moment.
