I always figure about 2.5(?) fahrenheit degrees for each celsius degree and guesstimate from their. But I guess I'm off by 10

My brother taught me the formula to convert it and it has just stuck in my head. And I have a chart in my appointment book. I don't know how to convert from F to C. It's a harder formula to do in your head.

What is the formula? I think I was taught once (or twice) in Chem and Physics but don't remember.

C to F:
C * 1.8 + 32= F
Or (this is how my bro taught me) Double the number, subtract 1/10, add 32
30*2=60
60-6=54
54+32=86
