Re: Death Korps Miscellanea
So I need to make a Tank Commander and Squad Commander. Are both rated as Sgt?

Yes.Deepcrush wrote:So I need to make a Tank Commander and Squad Commander. Are both rated as Sgt?
The Hellgun is the one in the Inquisitors Handbook. Stats available if you need them.

Well that's what I meant. The IH has both the D'laku and vanilla versions.

In more ways than one.
Did you ever see the rules set that someone posted on DH to make las weapons more competitive with SP ones? Did quite a lot but one of the big things was give all las weapons an auto setting like they're usually described as having anyways.

I have, yes. The guy had a good point. I should take another look and see, maybe use those rules in this game.

Re: Death Korps Miscellanea
Mostly he was pointing out how from a purely metagame standpoint SP weapons leave las weapons in the dust. The IH helps a bit but on the whole there's little reason to take your basic lasgun over an autogun and I'm inclined to agree. A couple people commented that he went too far and made las weapons the obvious choice. I dunno if I entirely agree with that but given that las weapons are considered the standard and you usually only hear about SP weapons in the hands of militias, civvies, and gangs I think it's fair.

Christ, he's got a lot of stuff up in that post.
Anyone have any thoughts on adding full auto to lasguns, with perhaps the loss of the "reliable" trait when it's used?

Yeah, tons of stuff.
I think it'd be a good addition. Give them a bit more bite.
Also, I keep forgetting to ask but are the side port basic weapons fixed with the Chimera or is it just 6 of the carried squad's weapons firing through ports?

Officially they are fixed weapons but I already told Deep he could remove them. He's got two flamers installed and the other four are just ports.

Hmm. I like the idea of fixed weapons in specially designed ports in order to minimize the chance of them being weak points in the vehicle. I like hellguns though. I may just go with a flamer and a pair of lascarbines on either side. I'll have to ponder it.

Anyone have a copy of IH I can use?
I asked if I could put Hellguns there but Kendall turned it down. But, in place of that I can just let my squad use its heavy weapons through them.Tyyr wrote:Hmm. I don't see why they wouldn't have a selector switch. I wouldn't even worry about cutting the reliable trait.Cpl Kendall wrote:Christ, he's got a lot of stuff up in that post.

Wow, I like that a lot! Is it to late to change out my rifleman to the Hellgun?
