Well, you've already got my general character idea. You need more specific stuff?

I still have no idea how to figure what kind of ship(s) I can start with a/o how to figure what kind of mods I may begin with; nor how success in gameplay will help increase my capabilities. That said, I'm thinking of either a legitimate trader type, who may have learned how to defend himself from pirates and uses a ship or convoy designed for such; or, a bounty hunter/mercenary group. Or some combo thereof.

Hah, that could lead into how Mikey and I meet. If he is an honest trader, either I rob him or try too, or he hires me to keep the raiders away. If he plays Bounty Hunter, then I could hire him. We all ARE going to meet somehow, right?

This thing is pretty ambitious. :)
Interaction is as often or as rare as each player wishes. I will run the story line too allow people to move as they want.

Well I'd like to know what kind of ship(s) you'll be using.

You can meet if you want, but there is no requirement. I'll produce a constant stream of characters for you to interact with or against.

Any ship length of 1200m or less. Two ships of 600m, three of 400m, so on and so forth. The opening is just that, open. I want to keep things simple for the start. The more we get into the RP, the more options and actions we'll build. Reliant and I are going to continue working to add more and more as the RP advances.

So we're beginning with "standard" ships then, and we'll add mods later? That's fine. I'll browse Wookieepedia today and get some ideas together. What time frame, again?

We're looking at the run up to the Clone Wars. probably just before the Invasion of Naboo. as the story progresses, we could even develop into choosing sides at the beginning of the Galactic Civil War.

I think for starships i'm gonna go simple, maybe Corellian Star Shuttle for interstellar travel; and a DC0040 Airspeeder for traveling around orbit.

I'm leaning more toward the merc/bounty hunter/starship-for-hire idea, and maybe one main ship, one or two auxiliary ships, and (if I have anything leftover) a handful of Skiprays for flexibility.

I did consider a Sheathipede shuttle, but it isnt hyperdrive equipped. I'd need something capable of long distance travel, while maintaining the Luxury that a Neimodian Mercantile would expect.

I'm thinking about a pair of slave rigged Dreadnaught class heavy crusiers. That would include their fighters but instead of TIEs would most likely be loaded with Z-95s.

I'm considering (among many other things) some Sabaoth craft. Question: if a ship is considered to have embarked craft like fighters, do they count against the linear measure limit? Ex.: a 900m ship that generally has 5 10m fighters; does that count as 900m, or as 950m?

Weren't slave rigged Dreadnaughts tried once, and then the fleet jumped into deep space and disappeared for half a century or so?

They were slave rigged without proper crew. Mine have crews.

The cost of the fighters is counted with the ships. If you have a 900m ship with fighters its counts as 900m cost. Which means you have 300m lift to buy stuff with.
