Re: Info on the USS Kelvin
The real key for me is the writers; Orci and Kurtzman have done some damn cool stuff, IMO, and they seem to want to do this right.
My mom said the other day that she wants to see it in IMAX.

I'm only going by the successes of Abrams stuff as none of what he has worked on has particularly interested me in the past. Not really my thing. But, I have hopes that he can pull this off. He's been a huge hit before, so I see no reason why he cant be again.
Hey...maybe he can turn Star trek....cool?!

I think that is part of the plan. It could work, or it could backfire horribly. I'm looking forward to finding out.

Re: Info on the USS Kelvin
that would be odd.
I personally can't wait for the movie. Previews have little impact on me, and I never trust reviews.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

You should see the heated argument they've been having over the logo.

No matter what I hear I cant help but feel dread about this movie. They are breaking so many of the big rules of science fiction in this as to almost doom it out right.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
