Why does it have to be deeper than that if it's true?

Eh, I don't mind vegetarians. I see where they're coming from but maybe I'm just to much of a heartless bastard to really care. I guess a cow is cute, if you can look at it from afar and never have to smell or interact with the thing in any way. To me it just looks like steaks in need of a good sear so they'll stop moving around and I can eat them. I suppose the first time you have to wring a chicken's neck yourself is a watershed moment, you'll either give up meat entirely or just stop giving a shit about it.

And seriously, vegetarian girls just lend themselves to a lot of jokes.

What does "cute" have to do with anything? Pigs are cute until they become hogs... but pig roasts are tastier than piglets are cute. Deer are cute, but venison is awesome. Ducks are cute, but they're also some of the best eating around.

Because most vegetarians only care if you kill and eat cute things.

Most vegetarians probably haven't had to care for those same animals. Spend a summer on a farm and even a die hard vegetarian will be dreaming about bacon wrapped filet mignon.

That proved something to me when we had to dispatch one of our chickens after it was injured by others bullying. It was quick, painless and dad did text book finish. It still made me throw up on the spot, then I was really teary for rest of the day. I know it was only the best thing for it's well being but I can't get past it somehow.

I believe a stalk of broccoli has more pain receptors than the average lobster.

I worked at a seafood restaurant, and quickly became desensitized to boiling them alive. There was a sick freak who worked there that would dunk the lobster in for a half-second, then pull it out.

That's a little messed up. While I have no issues with killing an animal for food I see no reason to torment the creature.

Neither do I. Which was why I was glad he didn't last. Drop the poor thing into the pot and be done with it.

It does seem a shame about shellfish, having to cook them alive and all... but them's the breaks. Besides, my kids think the sound of crabs banging on the inside of the pot lid while they're steaming is hysterically funny.

More than a little. Granted a lobster is little more than a big water dwelling bug, but still. Enjoying the suffering of another living creature is pretty sick.

Plus hasn't it been proven, or at least there's evidence to suggest, that the quicker and more humanely a critter is killed, the better the meat tastes due to not being saturated in stress hormones?

In the case of lobsters and crabs, though, that's sort of impossible. If they're dead before you cook them, the meat begins to become toxic immediately.

Well. I hate feeling like this, I haven't in a while, but now I do, and I hate it.

Basically I am void of all emotion, IDK why it happens really, I just know it happens when I feel too much emotion, I guess my body is protecting itself, but I really hate not feeling anything. Like I would fight someone just to feel something. The closest thing to feeling something was yelling at Deep as the Klingons in the Alpha SIM, which felt pretty good. Now oddly enough all my thoughts are Logic-oriented, or non-emotion based is more like it, very little of it is logic based now, now I just want to feel something. :|

Damn right.

On that note.............. did anyone try my hot wing recipes?
If so how did they come out? Keep in mind, I make my own pepper vinegar, so I'm just curious.
