I got that it was a play on words, I don't get the humor of it...

I do.

A friend of mine told me that joke and it took me a long time to figure it out - and the long time figuring it out kinda spoiled it for me.

I still don't get it. My brain can't make it make sense for whatever reason.

Yeah, I'm in the same place Lighthawk, I can see how in a different manner it can be a dirty joke, or how it could be conceived as funny, but in the written sense it's in right now it makes no sense to me.
