Now, they may be acting in character but my point is this is supposed to be a Starfleet ship, not a military vessel.
We're on an Akira class, one of the most military orientated ships Starfleet ever built, on a military mission, and in enemy territory. For all intents and puprposes, this is effectively a military ship, for now at least.
Exactly. Rochey stabbed Blackstar in the back three different times.
In fairness, that was because your character disobeyed orders on multiple occasions, and he did nothing that goes against the rules.
We need someone in power on this ship that keeps him in check. Teaos is currently the only one with the power but he doesn't use it.
There is someone that keeps the XO in check: The Captain. The problem is, the Captain wasn't on the away mission, and having someone who could belay any orders the ship's second in command gives would seriously undermine the command structure.
Starfleet seeing the Daystrom making little progress and losing several crewman, including two caused by friendly fire, sends a squad of fighters and a runabout to assist, led by my character.
That's actualy fairly plausable. So far the ship's lost:
Deepcrush: Security chief, shuttle accident
Metalhead: Security chief, killed by hostile intruder
Nameless ensign #1, friendly fire (shot by Munro)
LT Blackstar, friendly fire (accidental death due to actions taken by CMDR Rochey and LT Munro)
Talora Retaal, resigned
Granitehewer: Section 31 agent (that would really get attention), can't remember how he died.

Quite a list, and that doesn't include the questionable methods of the current security chief, and the less than humane actions of the current executive officer, and the fact that three members of our crew were captured.
And its your chance to be cruel to Rochey back!!! FANTASTIC!!!!
Good luck with that. Unless they're of equal or greater rank to him (thus causing the aforementioned chain of command problems), this character won't be able to do anything, officialy.

Don't exagerate. I disobayed one order. Rochey tried to kidnap the child, tried to kill Blackstar with the runabout, and gave the orders resulting in hir death. In what group is all that legal?

And another problem is the captain is an npc.

I disobayed one order.
Well, technicaly, you disobeyed it numerous times.
Also, you sent a communication off-world, despite me giving orders not to.

So, two orders.
Rochey tried to kidnap the child,
Actualy, he tried to return it to the authorities. You weren't it's legal guardian at the time, and it's mother was dead, so it was the best course of action from a legal standpoint.
tried to kill Blackstar with the runabout
After Blackstar attempting to kill him completely unprovoked. That was just self-defence.
and gave the orders resulting in hir death.
True, but that was an accident. He gave orders for Blackstar to be knocked unconcious on hir arrival, not to kill her. If anyone is going to take the blame for this, it'd be Munro, as he was the one who set the dosage to that level.
Then again, it was a supposedly safe level. So it's unlikely anyone'd get in trouble for that.
In what group is all that legal?
They're all, technicaly, legal. And that's what the Commander does best; remembering all the technicalities no one else does.
He might be an asshole, but he hasn't violated a single order....technicaly.
And another problem is the captain is an npc.
True, but it was set up that way to prevent having one person in complete control of the crew. That's also the reasoning behind me and Teaos both having the rank of Commander.

Just out of interest, What is the point of this argument? You argued, it all happened and I disruptered Rochey's shuttle's a** off. So this is kinda moot now.

I'm just pointing out that any enquiry into my actions on the away mission would find me completely innocent of any illegal activities. They'd probably agree I was being a complete ass, but it was Blackstar who broke the rules.
And you, of course. :P

I know. But you're probably just lucky Rochey was too pissed at Blackstar to do anything against you. You've racked up quite an impressive record, yourself.

I'm sure I won't get away that easy...

Meh. Blackstar is currently the focus of Rochey's annoyance. Unless you do something further to annoy him, the Commander will probably just forget about you, in order to blame more things (eg, the destruction of his shuttle) on Blackstar.

But how can you blame Blacky for the Shuttle's destruction. I did it! And she didn't tell me to do so!

Ah, but no one knows that but you and Blackstar. One of you is probably not welcome back on the ship anymore, and the other is supposed to be dead. Rochey can quite happily say that Blackstar told you to attack the shuttle. Since you're just an ensign, you were only following orders, and thus the blame lies with Blackstar.
In fact, he could make up anything he wanted about the confrontation between him and Blackstar, as he's the only one still alive who knows about it. With no one to contradict him, his word would simply be accepted.

And the dead man wasn't an ensign, he was a junior enlisted and his name was Forester. Jeezh! Get it right!!

Honestly I don't think Munro or Rochey would or could get in trouble for their actions.

Oh, and I would imagine the dozens if not hundred plus deaths that resulted in the battle over a crowded slave market could be blamed on Blackstar.
