Hmm, my cousin has something similar from Milan. In Yiddish we call it a fishteretz.
BTW, have they completed the safety locks to keep Venice from sinking further yet?

Had a few drinks, then a few more... then one or two to end the night.
Oh, we also did bonfire cookout which was really nice.

It's not sinking any more, it's just eroding because there's a load of factories near by that are messing up the ph levels of the lagoon.

Sounds about right...They've put a couple of factories by my old town which is a shame. Lago Di Bracciano (The lake we lived near), while small, was beautiful.

It's not sinking any more, it's just eroding because there's a load of factories near by that are messing up the ph levels of the lagoon.
Hmm. I remember reading about a massive, city-encompassing system of locks, reservoirs, and pumps in a NatGeo about a year ago, but it might have been flood prevention rather than substrate-erosion prevention.
